Kenai Alaska Wildlife Viewing and Photography

Kenai Peninsula's Alaskan wildlife is as near as your own back yard as Moose wander everywhere feeding on the lush grasses. When the salmon show up so do the bears, Grizzlies and Blacks. You never know exactly where, but they will usually be a safe distance away as they search for salmon for dinner. Bald Eagles are everywhere, flying overhead or perched at the top of a tree feeding their young. Caribou (Reindeer) can be seen in the fields by the Kenai River as they migrate across these wetlands. Almost 500 species of birds and ducks can be found anywhere, anytime. Dall sheep can be seen on the rocky outcroppings of the Kenai mountains while elusive lynx, wolves and coyotes are seen by a lucky few.
Photographers are mesmerized by the wildlife, as well as the spring budding of the trees, the lush grasses and wildflowers of summer and the fireweed and brightly colored leaves of fall. Which brings us to . . .
